My Lexmark 5400 series has just recently stopped working. It says "cannot retrieve application list". The printer and fax work just fine. I just installed the new Norton Internet security. I think that this might have affected it. Any solutions?
Solution
- I found that updating the drivers, off Lexmark's website, took care of the problem --
- doesn't work... try downloading the latest drivers from lexmark.com
- give exceptions to the anti virus for the printer software
